Scanning as an Action
Scanning your server every now and then is very useful if you'd like to get some background information about your server's security status.
Meta provides an advanced scanning system for free, to ensure everyone their server's safety. The scan gives you inside info about your server administrators, roles, alt accounts, members, and channels.
Additionally, Meta calculates a protection score and gives you ideas on how to optimize it for maximum security.
Run a Scan Anytime
Use the /scan command to trigger a full server scan. Meta will analyze your setup and return a detailed report with your protection score.
Protection Score
Your server's protection score ranges from 0 to 100 points. Each point equals 1%. The higher your score, the better protected your server is. Enable Meta's features to maximize your score.
Score Calculation Breakdown
The protection score is calculated based on the following criteria. Each enabled feature or condition adds points to your total:

Why Do We Calculate It This Way?
We've added general point-giving situations such as alt account count and administrator account count, but this is as far as we can go to be 100% sure of accuracy.
The reason Meta's scanning is so focused on Meta itself is because we know that if you have such features enabled, our score is not false. We rely on our own statistics and information because we can trust this data.
Maybe in the future, we will add more third-party factors, but given the current situation, we'd like to provide a service that we are confident and sure of.

How Does Scanning Work?
When you run a scan, Meta performs a multi-step analysis of your server:
Configuration Check
Meta verifies whether initial setup has been completed and checks which protection modules are currently enabled.
Role & Permission Audit
All roles are scanned for dangerous permissions. The number of administrator accounts is counted and evaluated.
Alt Account Detection
Meta cross-references member data to identify suspected alternate accounts and counts them against the threshold.
Score Compilation
All checks are combined into your final protection score, along with specific recommendations to improve your server's safety.
The easiest way to boost your protection score is to complete Meta's setup and enable all Anti Mod Grief modules. This alone gives you up to 55 points.
