Anti Alt Detector
Detect and block alternate accounts from joining your Discord server. Meta scans every new member and flags suspicious accounts based on account age and other factors.
Alt accounts are widely known as "second" accounts, usually used for actions that a user doesn't want or cannot do on their main account. Users can use alt accounts to evade bans, collect rewards, or perform malicious actions without getting punished on their main account. Meta takes advantage of these patterns and filters out accounts that are suspicious.
Users with the Administrator permission will be ignored by Meta. Administrators can change the configurations of the module. Make sure Meta has the necessary permissions to function correctly.
All Anti Alt Detection logs will be sent into the server admin-logs channel. You cannot change the logging channel for Anti Alt Detector.
Anti Alt Rules
Meta uses multiple detection methods to identify potential alt accounts joining your server.
Young Account Detection
An account that has joined your server but is suspiciously young. The parameter of how young an account can be is fully configurable by you. Accounts younger than your set threshold will be flagged and reported to your staff.
Suspicious Username Detection
If the account has a known scamming or suspicious name, your staff will be notified. Unlike automod, these accounts won't be kicked automatically — instead, your moderation team receives an alert to investigate.
Modify Anti Alt Detector
You can customize the day count threshold for the Anti Alt system. The day count determines how old an account must be to not be considered an alt account.
Day Count Configuration
Set the minimum account age thresholdBy default, the day count is set to 2 days. You can adjust this to be anywhere from 1 day to 356 days (1 year).
- Default: 2 days
- Minimum: 1 day
- Maximum: 356 days (1 year)
Automatically Kick Alt Accounts
Have a busy server that is struggling with alt accounts constantly joining? Meta Plus offers an automatic alt kicker that handles everything for you. When Meta considers an account to be an alt, the account will be kicked instantly.
- Auto-Kick: Suspected alt accounts are kicked immediately upon joining
- Notifications: Both the moderation team and the kicked user receive a notification explaining the action
- Full Logging: Everything is logged into the Administrator logs for full transparency
How It Works
Member Joins
When a new user joins your server, Meta immediately begins analyzing the account.
Account Analysis
Meta checks the account age against your configured threshold and scans for suspicious patterns.
Action Taken
If flagged, staff are notified via admin-logs. With Meta Plus, the account can be auto-kicked.
